Internal Medicine Three Year Curriculum:
OGME 1:
During the first year of the IM program, the resident will complete one month rotations in
- Ambulatory primary care (emergency medicine pediatrics, and female medicine)
- Cardiology
- ICU
- Pulmonology
- General Surgery
- Emergency Medicine
- General Internal Medicine (four months)
- Electives (anesthesiology, dermatology, psychiatry and OMM) (two months)
The OGME 1 will spend a minimum of one half day per week in the ambulatory IM clinic for continuity of care.
OGME 2:
During the second year of the IM program, the resident will be able to complete rotations in the following:
- General Internal Medicine (four months)
- Gastroenterology
- Neurology
- Nephrology
- Preventative Medicine
- Infectious Disease
- Rheumatology
- Electives
The OGME 2 will spend a minimum of one half day per week in the ambulatory IM clinic with their established panel patients.
OGME 3:
During the third and final year, the resident will be able to complete rotations in the following:
- General Internal Medicine (four months)
- Oncology/Hematology
- ICU
- Geriatric Medicine
- Palliative Care
- Electives
The OGME 3 will spend a minimum of one half day per week in the ambulatory IM clinic with their established panel patients
